Long carbon fiber reinforced polyether ether ketone (PEEK) particles (length 12-25 mm)
Introduction of PEEK
Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) is a linear polymer consisting of aryl, ketone and ether bonds in the main chain of a macromolecule. It is the only kind of poly (aryl ether ketone) that can be produced in large quantities at present. Study stability and molding processability of thermoplastic.
Peek also has excellent heat resistance. The thermal deformation temperature is 160 C. When the glass fiber is reinforced with 20% ~ 30%, the thermal deformation temperature can be raised to 280 300 C. The thermal stability of PEEK is good, at 420 C in air. In the case of 2h, weightlessness was only 2%, 2.5% at 500 C and significant heat loss at 500 C. Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) is a very strong material with excellent long-term creep resistance and fatigue resistance.
The electrical insulation properties of PEEK are excellent, and the volume resistivity is about 10~10 cm. It still has a small dielectric constant and dielectric loss in high frequency range. For example, at 10Hz, its dielectric constant is only 3.2, and its dielectric loss is only 0.02. The chemical stability of PEEK is also very good. Apart from concentrated sulfuric acid, PEEK is very stable to almost any chemical reagent. It can maintain good chemical stability even at high temperature. In addition, it also has excellent heat resistance and water resistance. It can be used for a long time at 200~250 C steam.
Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) has good flame retardancy and is difficult to burn in normal environment. Even if it is burned, the amount of smoke and the release of harmful gases is very low, even lower than the amount of polytetrafluoroethylene and other low-smoke polymers. In addition, it also has excellent radiation resistance. Its resistance to alpha rays, beta rays and gamma rays is the best among polymer materials. The wire products covered with it can withstand gamma rays of 1.1 x 10Gy.
Peek has good melt fluidity and thermal stability above melting point. Therefore, it has the typical processing properties of thermoplastic, so it can be used in injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, lamination and other molding methods, but also spinning, film making. Although the melting temperature range of polyether ether ketone is 360 ~ 400 C, it still has a wide processing temperature range because its thermal decomposition temperature is above 520 C.
Although polyether ether ketone (PEEK) has a history of only 20 years, it has been widely used in nuclear industry, chemical industry, electronic and electrical appliances, mechanical instrumentation, automotive industry and Astronautics because of its outstanding heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, radiation resistance, high strength and workability. Application. Especially as a thermoplastic resin with excellent heat resistance, it can be used as the matrix material of high performance composite materials.
Because the performance of PEEK is difficult to meet the different needs of different industries, it is necessary to modify PEEK in special working environment. The main means are blending modification, copolymerization modification, composite reinforcement modification, filling modification, nano-modification and surface modification. Through modification, some properties of PEEK, such as wear resistance and impact strength, can be increased, thus expanding the application scope of PEEK, reducing the use cost of materials and improving the processing performance of PEEK.
